Tonight’s Planned Candlelight Vigil Is Postponed
Due to the inclement weather, the Health Department’s planned candlelight vigil for Infant Mortality Awareness Month, set to take place tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the War Memorial Building, has been postponed. We hope to announce a rescheduled event soon. Please check the calendar of events on our Website (baltimorehealth.org) for future updates.

Rattle & Roll Day
Wednesday September 15
As part of Infant Mortality Awareness Month in September, volunteers from Baltimore City Health Department, Healthy Start, Bon Secours, Family Tree, Peoples, DRU Mondawmin, Maternal and Infant Nursing Program, Sinai, Baltimore Medical Systems, Baltimore Health Care Access, and other city organizations will be coming together to spread information throughout the city’s pediatric and obstetric offices, as well as federally qualified health centers and hospital based centers. Volunteers will take a rattle to each of the offices to signify Infant Mortality Awareness Month, along with materials from the B’more for Healthy Babies citywide campaign to improve infant mortality. The goal is to provide city offices and centers with information and materials to share with patients, on the issue of Infant Mortality and specifically safe sleep as one of the leading causes.
