Provider portal
B’more for Healthy Babies (BHB) envisions a future where all babies in Baltimore are born at a healthy weight, full-term, and ready to thrive in healthy families and communities. This vision depends on deep partnerships — a citywide network aligned to help families in and beyond clinical settings.
Health care providers are a linchpin in this work, trusted sources of information for patients, clients, and our city.
The BHB Provider Portal aims to be a resource for all types of providers in the hospital, emergency, and ambulatory care settings. The portal supports day-to-day practice and facilitates the process — starting with a simple referral — of connecting families to Baltimore City’s extensive network of maternal and child health services.
Resources for You & Your Patients
Since BHB's launch in 2009, Baltimore City's infant mortality rate has dropped to historic lows.

Since BHB's inception in 2009 and through 2022 (most recent data available), the Baltimore City infant mortality rate (IMR) rate has decreased by 39% and the Black-white disparity in infant mortality has decreased by 48%. This progress would not have been possible without screening and referrals.

Pregnant families referred to care coordination in Baltimore City were 80% less likely to suffer a fetal or infant loss.
